Well... yeah. I think we all saw this coming after more than a month of not having updates...
To be a little long-winded about it: I've been stupid busy for the past month or so, owing to a slightly stressful work situation (which should be clearing up soon, but they always say that), part-time school, and a part-time job on top of the full-time job. I'm also a, I want to say, decently active RPer and I typically put my tags first ahead of any iconning needs I have. And, uh, on top of that, gacha games are all on limited-time event schedules, and that usually suits my lifestyle, but I've really fallen behind on content in recent weeks.
...So I think I need to just... drop expectations of working on

vindagnyr for a while!It's still really important to me, and I'm not abandoning it as a project or anything. It's less about providing icon material and more just that I personally enjoy archiving these games as screenshots rather than in videos. But I'm not going to graduate until 2026 or even 2027 and I just... don't see myself having real time to work on this unless I give up my other personal interests.
The big bottleneck, honestly, is that I do a more refined sorting process for
vindagnyr than I really need to. I think most RPers would be fine and happy if I just dumped 5,000 unsorted screencaps per patch, but I usually go the extra mile to sort things into specific character folders and remove things like duplicate expressions and blurry shots that won't be of any use to anyone. Also, when I take screencaps, I don't use the usual window capture method but a full desktop snapshot instead; this is because the window capture methods don't give me the level of control and precision I like to have over screenshotting. So here's the thing:
If you want the raw, unsorted screencaps for a particular Genshin, HSR, or ZZZ patch, I have them. I'm not going to stop capping, I just don't have time for sorting and uploading. If you don't mind putting your own work into it, just let me know and I'll give them to you.
My one ask is that I'd prefer it if we know each other to some capacity. This isn't like, a high bar to clear; we don't have to be besties or anything. If you're an iconmaker who does public icons, I'll be happy to give them to you. I've also gone out of my way to give caps to people I literally only vaguely knew as friends of friends. Hell, if we've tagged even once, I probably like you enough to go out of my way to get you something.
I just — and this is a personal pet peeve — really do not like interacting with people anonymously or on sock accounts. It's not like I've had bad experiences with anons or anything; it's just a slightly insane pet peeve I have. I get why we all congregate on
rpanons and places like that, I was on Tumblr and shit in the 2000s-2010s, I just don't think proper communication ever happens on anonymous forums and have always disliked being anonymously asked for favors. Plus, the caps generally include some of my desktop information, and while there's usually nothing incriminating there, I simply cannot and will not give that out to complete randos.Not trying to sound unfriendly or anything; I am actually, typically, very friendly. I just want to be clear about the boundaries here.
I may still be able to update the Plurk account with new emotes and things like that, it's just the screencapping project that I don't want to have to worry about right now. I'm also highly likely to start quietly updating things again once I get a fucking minute to breathe, but at this point I don't think I have any vacation opportunities until the winter holidays.
Anyway, I hope you all have a very wonderful autumn and write very many happy tags! I'll be around on my character accounts and look forward to maybe being able to get back to this sometime in 2025.

i just sent you a friend request on discord, it's actually the same as my aether journal too LOL. IRL's been kinda eh tbh but i'm making some time to rest now. the rolls have been good!! i think a lot of people don't like gacha for good reason but for me personally the daily format and days of the week being relevant to the gameplay actually helps me keep my brain on track LOL
